County Cup exemptions

All adult clubs are required to enter their most senior team into the relevant Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA County Cup competition.

Clubs may also choose to enter additional teams into SHCFA County Cup competitions if they wish.

Can our team be exempt from entering a County Cup?

Yes. If a club does not wish to enter its most senior team into the relevant County Cup competition, it must apply for a Cup Exemption and pay the applicable Cup Exemption Fee.

Please note that any team granted an exemption from a SHCFA County Cup competition will not be permitted to participate in any other cup or trophy competition, including competitions organised by a league or another Football Association.

How do I apply for a Cup Exemption?

A Cup Exemption is added in the same way as entering a team into a competition.

When selecting your team's competition, choose 'SHCFA Cup Exemption
