If you are officiating in youth football, you are required to hold a valid Referee ID Card.

Referee ID Cards are issued electronically and will be sent to you by email.

Why do I need a Referee ID Card?

You must apply for a new Referee ID Card each season. Your card confirms that you:

  • Are a qualified referee
  • Are currently registered
  • Meet the required safeguarding standards

Photo Requirements

As part of your application, you will need to upload a photograph for your ID Card. Your photo should:

  • A recent, clear image
  • Show your head and shoulders only
  • Have a plain background
  • Be similar to a passport-style photograph

Providing a suitable photo will help ensure your Referee ID Card can be issued without delay.
