Re-Registering as a Referee (16+)

Referee Registration for the 2024/25 season is now open and you can register online through the Referee Registration Portal.

Registration costs just £20 for the season, and you will need to be registered prior to refereeing your first game of the 2024/25 season. All referees must also have a current safeguarding qualification to register.

For those needing to complete or renew their safeguarding qualification, the following online courses are available:

• Safeguarding For All
• Safeguarding Children Course Recertification (for those who have previously completed the Safeguarding Children Course)
• Information on how to apply for an FA DBS through SHCFA can be found here.

In order to re-register, please follow the guidance below:

• Visit the Referee Registration Portal
• Pick what categories of football you intend to referee in
• Check all details are correct and proceed to payment
• Once you have processed your payment (this may take a little longer than normal) you will be directed to the FA referee page
