Safeguarding Affiliation Requirements for Clubs with Open Age Teams

Open age football mandatory requirements:



All adult clubs who are affiliating an Open Age team must have a named Club Welfare Officer. The CWO must hold the FA Player Welfare Course once the course is available.


All Adult coaches are now required to hold the Player Welfare Course


All Open Age teams where there are 16 and 17 year olds registered must have a named manager who has an FA enhanced DBS.


Initiating a DBS through Whole Game System


Completing DBS Initiation - Applicant


Club Welfare Officer or Referee FA DBS Application
