Affiliation Safeguarding Requirements 24/25

There are a number of changes to the mandatory requirements ahead of the 24/25 season to be aware of, all aimed at continuing to make Grassroots football safe and inclusive place.


The main headlines are;


All junior coaches are now required to hold an in date Safeguarding Children Course


All open age coaches are now required to hold the Player Welfare Course & FA DBS (if under 18s in open age teams)


Clubs with Adult Teams will require a named Welfare Officer to be listed in role on Club Portal, there are no required qualifications for the 2023/24 season. From 2024/25, a Player Welfare Course will be required.


Clubs with Disability Adult Teams require a Adult Disability Welfare Officer to be in place, with Safeguarding Adult Course.
