As in previous years clubs are welcome to create and affiliate U6 teams within their clubs at the point of affiliation. It is important to note that U6 teams are not able to play sanctioned fixtures as per the Standard Code of Rules for Football*.
*6 year olds can participate in U7 football
Why Affiliate your U6's?
It is a great way to help you as a club manage and monitor your safeguarding qualifications of any coaches working with your U6's
Listed coaches will contacted for free coach support development opportunities.
By adding the players to the club they are captured under your club Public Liability Insurance.
Should the players stay with your club when you transition to U7's, they are already on your Club Portal, simplifying the registration process for you as clubs.
As with all SHCFA teams, U6 teams will be eligible for SGCFA Development Team Support
Things to know about affiliating your U6's
There is no team fee, however, you do still require Personal Accident Insurance.
How do we affiliate our U6's
The process is the same as affiliating any other team minus the affiliation fee and requirement to have personal accident insurance. You will simply add the team, it's suffix and age group as well as the team officials.
